The TACTO chair is introduced as a visual metaphor for touch - a design built on subtle tension, quiet balance, and sculptural softness. Its form is restrained yet expressive, shaped through the interplay of elements that seem to pause in a suspended moment.
The surfaces of TACTO approach one another without merging, as if the structure is held together not by fasteners, but by a delicate mutual agreement. Its name comes from the Latin tactus - “touch, sensation, delicacy” - reflecting the idea of sensitive connection and structural harmony.
TACTO’s silhouette is defined by simple, sculptural volumes. A rounded backrest flows into the rear legs, lightly supporting a monolithic seat that meets softer front supports. Together, these elements create a unified composition that feels both grounded and gentle.
