Tacto is a sculptural meditation on closeness and connection — a chair that doesn’t shout but lingers, like the memory of touch. Its name, from the Latin tactus — “sensation, delicacy” — reflects the tension between restraint and intimacy. Every element seems drawn together by gravity and trust, not by force. Nothing is over-explained; everything is felt.
The silhouette is quiet but intentional: a solid, grounded seat held in poised balance by rounded forms that don’t quite merge — they hover, approach, almost connect. There’s tension at the edge of unity, as if the structure holds itself by agreement, not hardware.
The curved backrest flows seamlessly into the rear legs, wrapping the sitter in a gentle frame. The front supports are softer, more human — creating a composition that feels not only stable, but sympathetic. Form becomes emotion. Solidity becomes care.
Tacto isn’t simply a chair — it’s a conversation between materials, space, and presence. A pause between movements. A visual language of closeness, grace, and architectural confidence.
